With faster shutter speeds there is more clarity because it is capturing a split second compared to a slow shutter speed thats capturing the image slower for 1/10th a second or more. The faster your lens is taking in light is the clearer the photo will be (or darker if not done correctly). If you take a picture that is 1/640 a second it will be clearer than if you took a picture that was for 1/10th a second as shown above because it captured the picture faster so nothing is moving in between when the lens is open and when it closes.
